Speech Pathologist - Weekend

Non-acute care is offered through various affiliates, SUMMARY: The Speech-Language Pathologist conducts evaluations and offers therapeutic interventions for patients experiencing communication and/or swallowing difficulties as a result of illness, accident, birth defect or developmental delay.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education: Master's degree in Speech Pathology from ASHA accredited university Experience: Acute care experience preferred, including experience gained from graduate level clinical externship; strong dysphagia evaluation and treatment skills.

License: NYS Speech-Language Pathologist license or license eligible PHYSICAL AND MENTAL FACTORS Physical: walking, standing, sitting, occasional moderate lifting or moving of equipment, keyboarding Mental: prioritization of tasks, handling multiple tasks in fast paced environment, effective communication with patients, caregivers and staff Location: Vassar Brothers Medical Center Work Type: Per Diem Standard Hours: 4.00 FTE: 0.010000 Work Schedule: Day 8 Work Shift: weekends and weekdays as needed Org Unit: 1296 Department: Speech Therapy Exempt: No Grade: S11 Salary Range: $32.6400 - $65.0148 Hourly Working conditions: Essential: * Little or no manual skills / motor coord & finger dexterity * Little or no potential for occupational risk * Sedentary/light effort.
