Reports To: Program Coordinator/Administrator

Contract: Part-Time/Seasonal (January 2025 - June 2025)

General Description: The instructor will perform instructional duties and related activities in accordance with the mission and procedures of Technical College of the Rockies resulting in effective delivery of instruction and achievement of identified outcomes. The instructor will work under the supervision of the program coordinator and college administrators along with site pathway director and will assist with compliance with all applicable accrediting agencies and maintaining the integrity of the instructional program.

Qualifications: Degree and/or certification in the program area, a minimum of 4,000 hours of work experience in the program area within the past five years, ability to acquire a Colorado CTE credential, broad knowledge of techniques and practices used in the industry, strong computer and Internet skills, good written and verbal communication skills, previous teaching/training experience preferred but not required.

General Duties and Responsibilities:

Demonstrate teaching skills and knowledge.

Demonstrate proficiency in occupational knowledge and skills.

Teach assigned courses with demonstrated competency in multiple instructional delivery methods and focus on effective assessment.

Develop, maintain and participate in a robust Advisory Committee in accordance to CCCS and COE guidance. Have an advisory committee meeting at least twice annually.

Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and overall performance using appropriate software systems used by the institution.

Complete and submit all required paperwork.

Maintain regular communication with all students and appropriate guardians on student progress

Maintain discipline and enforce rules of conduct and behavior in accordance with school policy.

Oversee and maintain the safety of the students and working environment.

Serve as a model in demonstrating correct human relation skills for students to emulate.

Maintain a clean learning environment and appropriate inventory for program equipment, materials and supplies.

Participate in ongoing professional development and attend all scheduled staff meetings if possible.

Communicate with program coordinator about department needs.

Obtain all required instructor credentials and renew as needed.

Ensure all CCCS program approval assurances are met

Promote the program, the college and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Other Duties

Work directly with the school district pathway director to ensure student learning is in alignment with desired outcomes

Establish Industry Based Certification (IBC) goal for all students

Record attendance on all students daily.

Record student progress on the SIS at least weekly.

Report VE 135 accurately and in a timely manner.

Read email twice daily, once in the a.m. and once in the p.m. at a minimum.

Write and maintain syllabi, unit lesson plans, daily lesson plans, and various written and performance assessments.

Teach all standards and requirements outlined in the individual course syllabi and program approval.

Adhere to all school and district policies
