About the Role:

We are looking to hire a Mobile Automation Engineer who has extensive knowledge of mobile applications design, development and deployments processes and experience with software implementation for mid to large enterprise projects.

The ideal candidate should be a talented mobile development engineer who can design, build, and maintain the next generation of mobile applications.

To ensure success, you should have a strong working knowledge of current market trends of mobile applications servicing consumers for financial industry mobile Frameworks and be able to work as part of a team.

This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.

Responsibilities:

Your primary focus will be developing high-end applications for the latest Apple/Android mobile devices

Your duties may include collaborating with the design team for new application features, identifying and fixing application bottlenecks, maintaining the core code, and updating applications published on the App Store.

Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements

Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained

Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack

Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle

Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas

Automates manual release activities

Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)

Required Skills:

Strong technical capability in some of the design and delivery of software projects and be able to provide guidance to the team on best coding practices, code optimization, data review for correctness, and design of mobile framework solutions

Strong data or analytics background – Must have excellent insights to social media and customer behaviors/needs/preferences w.r.t Mobile applications

Ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills in all phases of product initiative life cycle from inception through implementation and beyond

Experience analyzing complex data to support mobile application development of clear narratives and presentations

Familiarity with Digital, Online and Mobile software delivery and maintenance of defects, issues and risk audit items

Collaborating with the design team to define app features

Ensuring quality and performance of the application to specifications

Identifying potential problems and resolving application bottlenecks

Fixing application bugs before the final release

Publishing application on App Store

Maintaining the code and atomization of the application

Designing and implementing application updates.

Desired Skills:

Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and technical experience required.

Typically requires 5-7 years of mobile experience.

Proven experience as an app developer/engineer.

Knowledge of Apple’s design principles and application interface guidelines.

Proficient in code versioning tools including Git, Bitbucket.

Knowledge of C-based, Java libraries.

Experience with continuous integration & Unit tests.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong focus on troubleshooting and issue resolution.
