What you’ll do:

Leads the maintenance department to provide efficient maintenance service in order to maximize plant availability and minimizing down-time through remedial, preventative and planned action.

Prepares and develops the Planned Maintenance scheme for all plant and machinery.

Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues.

Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation.

Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.

Analyses data regarding costs, work and production and initiates programs to ensure an efficient utilization of personnel and adequate costs,

Recommends new methods to improve work conditions and work efficiency, using rules for new and modern equipment.

Ability to visualize the impact of good/poor maintenance and its effect on plant uptime and efficiency.

Should have leadership quality to guide his subordinates and develop competency.

Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.

Monitor expenses and control budget for maintenance.

Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.

Ensure Health & Safety policies are complied with.

What you’ll need:

Graduate of a mechanic university with 5-10 years’ experience in a similar position.

Experience in a chemical industry is desirable.

Conversant in the chemical industry is desirable.

Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Good organisational and leadership skills

English language skills

Strong knowledge of using computer operations/office

Familiarity with ISCIR rules would be an advantage.
