Position Description: Reporting to the Sr. Director of Strategic Sourcing, the Director of Strategic Sourcing for Supply Chain and Facilities & Operations will lead the development and execution of indirect sourcing and procurement strategy for Supply Chain and Facilities & Operations ($800M Spend Under Management), to ensure alignment with overall indirect spend objectives, vision, and strategic plans.

This role will be instrumental in developing Strategic Category plans within assigned areas, focusing on Transportation and Logistics; First Mile (Ocean, Drayage, Chasis, Duty, Freight), Middle Mile (3PR, TL, LTL) and Last Mile (Parcel, Crowdsource/On Demand Delivery, etc), Dedicated Fleet, Vehicles (Lease/Rental/Purchase), Fuel, Distribution Network for the Future, as well as Facilities & Operations; Waste Management, MHE, Janitorials, Supplies, Uniforms, Furniture & Fixtures, while also supporting other areas of the company. The Director will drive sourcing projects (eSourcing events) and opportunities to achieve cost-saving objectives. Responsibilities include analyzing spend data, gathering business requirements from internal stakeholders, executing eSourcing events, and administering indirect spend related contracts. Additionally, the Director will oversee sourcing managers and analysts supporting these initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Sourcing Strategy Development:

Develop and implement category plans aligning with market opportunities and business requirements, generating an 18-month rolling productivity savings pipeline for each category.

Collaborate with business leaders and suppliers to align sourcing plans with business strategy and objectives.

Manage the renewal process for existing agreements, ensuring timely review and management.

Work closely with the Strategic Sourcing Leadership team and Business Partners to develop optimal category strategies aligned with current and future business needs.

Determine appropriate metrics and reporting requirements in collaboration with the Sr. Director, Strategic Sourcing.

Work with functional and business groups to support customer satisfaction through implementation activities and effective feedback initiatives.

Influence strategic sourcing and purchasing decisions across the organization.

Ensure a thorough understanding of the supply market and collaborate with business/function teams to create innovative customer and supplier strategies.

Support organization’s goals on Cash Flow and EBITDA goals

Sourcing Management:

Oversee all aspects of ATD's sourcing processes within assigned categories, including tactical/spot opportunities, strategic eRFx's, eAuctions, etc.

Develop Sourcing Strategy, Term Sheets, Capabilities Matrix, etc for deals, in partnership with Stakeholders

Analyze information provided by Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) or internal stakeholders and translate into detailed requirements and bid specifications.

Provide regular status updates to stakeholders at key event milestones.

Coordinate SME participation in the event scoring process and facilitate consensus scoring sessions for supplier selection.

Coordinate formal supplier award and regrets communications to event participants.

Technical Expertise:

Drive sourcing best practices, standardize procurement processes, and minimize supply risk.

Identify and execute large-scale business opportunities to maximize ATD’s savings and profitability.

Innovate new sourcing concepts and approaches.

Ensure compliance with organizational finance policies and serve as a subject-matter expert.

Anticipate and mitigate potential risks related to organizational policies, enforcing compliance with regulations.

Understand internal control systems, recommending updates to policies and procedures.

Support budgeting processes, analyze budgeting information, and identify spending discrepancies.

Utilize advanced metrics and data analysis to shape programs and influence business units.

Incorporate insights from multiple data sources to provide actionable recommendations.

Proficient in Excel; experience with Power BI and other analytical tools preferred.

Expertise in sourcing tools such as eSourcing, PPM, and Spend Analytics.

Requirements:

Proficiency in sourcing software such as Scout eSourcing, Coupa Source to Pay, Conga CLM.

Proven leadership and communication skills.

Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.

Willingness to develop, promote, and maintain strategic sourcing relationships.

Experience:

8 years of combined sourcing, procurement, or project management experience

5 years of experience building and managing eSourcing events

5 + years of experience in Supply Chain & Logistics, and Facilities & Operations space

3 years of people leader experience

Preferred Certifications:

CPSM, CSP, PMP

Education:

Bachelor's Degree Supply Chain, Sourcing, Business, Economics, Finance, Logistics, or related field.

Master's degree in business or advanced procurement management specialization preferred.

Direct Report Position Titles

Sourcing Manager, Sourcing COE Analyst, Travel Services Coordinator

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Business (or other related degree programs). MBA preferred.

10+ Years of strategic sourcing / procurement experience, performance measurement, contract negotiation, project management, category management, business analysis, change management experience

Strong knowledge of category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management processes

Proven track record in delivery of complex, cross-functional procurement initiatives on-time and on-budget

Seasoned procurement professional, knowledgeable in procurement best practices

Strong organizational skills, pay attention to detail and be multi-task oriented

Strong people management, development and coaching experience

High degree of ethical practices and capability to oversee effective practices across the organization in dealing with suppliers
