Redtail Catering in San Marcos, CA is looking for one sous chef to join our 27 person strong team. We are located on 960 Rancheros Dr. Suite A&B. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and reliable.
Responsibilities
Train chefs to company standards
Create dishes in accordance with business needs
Anticipate ingredient needs and arrange re-stock accordingly
Memorizing techniques and recipes to our standards
Able to work independently without constant supervision
Qualifications
Experience working as a sous chef or chef
High familiarity with kitchen equipment, processes, and health and safety guidelines
Able to delegate tasks effectively and assist when needed
Adaptable to high traffic and kitchen volume
Compensation
Starting pay $24 per hour base rate
Pooled tips based on % of sales & hours divided to staff (estimated $3-5 per hour)
