Job description
Kitchen - Prep Cook
Our kitchen crew perform various duties depending on the needs of the restaurant.
Duties can include:
Food preparation
Cooking and cleaning tasks to ensure the kitchen remains efficient in creating and delivering dishes for patrons. Their duties and responsibilities can include:
Completing all tasks on the prep list from the Head Chef or other kitchen manager
Labeling and stocking all ingredients on easily accessible shelves
Washing, chopping and sorting ingredients like fruits, vegetables and meats
Measuring quantities of seasonings and other cooking ingredients
Parboiling food, reducing sauces and starting first steps in various dishes
Cleaning dishes, washing cooking utensils and cookware, taking out the trash and sanitizing kitchen
Adhering to all relevant nutrition and sanitary regulations and standards
Prep work
Washing work areas, refrigerators, cooking equipment, walls and floors• Assembling, maintaining, and breaking down the dish machine
With advanced training and experience cooking on the line, saute, fryer, salad prep, pizza oven Kitchen Crew Skills & Qualifications:
Prior experience in a food-serving establishment is preferred but not required
Ability to work off of a kitchen display screen
High level of stamina to work on feet for extended periods
Ability to work well under time pressure
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry trays, plates pans and smallwares
Available to work a variety of hours, day and night shifts, including weekends
Friendly and hardworking attitude. Pay: 17.50 plus tips
