Reporting to the Director, Internal Audit, the Manager, Internal Audit helps the department to achieve its mandate of assisting Kerzner in accomplishing its business objectives by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the organization’s risk management, control, and governance processes.

Responsibilities

Complete audit processes and document higher-risk areas including establishing a top-down risk-based approach, and determining the proper nature, timing, and extent of procedures, and planning and coordinating activities related to internal controls documentation and testing.

Participate in performing procedures especially focusing on complex, judgmental and/or specialized issues.

Lead fieldwork, manage performance and keep engagement leaders updated on internal audit engagements.

Timely completion of audit reports, including the finalization of audit findings and recommendations and obtaining the management action plans at the end of the audit engagement.

Engage with management, provide practical and relevant advice and demonstrate professionalism throughout interactions.

Constantly develop your understanding of current market trends and processes and share your knowledge to develop junior colleagues.

Establish objectives and scope of work and the engagement budget; and take responsibility for the overall execution of the project through wrap-up and final report delivery, in compliance with quality requirements.

Monitor the engagement team's progress against the plan and alter it when needed.

Develop people by encouraging individuals to think for themselves and take responsibility for their contributions to the team.

Successfully delegate to all levels of staff.

Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery.

To qualify for this position you should have:

An undergraduate or a graduate degree.

A minimum of 5 years of work experience in internal control and audit with an accounting firm.

Solid experience in Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR), including COSO principles.

Must have a Chartered Accountant, CPA or equivalent designation.

The flexibility to constantly learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Professional presence with the ability to quickly establish personal credibility and demonstrate expertise.

Ability to take a pragmatic approach to issues while demonstrating and living the company’s values.

Excellent project management and leadership skills.

Able and willing to travel internationally, up to 50%.
