Job Highlights

Responsible for acquiring and commercializing projects (new customers or new applications or both) within the defined strategy for the Industry Segment and / or Product line or Region.

Responsible for the leveraging and coordinating of supporting functions which can contribute to the successful closure of projects (ADM’s, CAE, material technical expertise, senior management, etc)

Responsible for positioning Value Propositions at the target customers, taking their specific circumstances and situation into account. By doing so the generic VP becomes customer specific.

Accountable for initiating development agreements with customers with an upper limit of 10 kEuro, or otherwise propose such agreements for approval to management.

Responsible for correct administration of own projects in the PTO tool and based on that deliver input into planning processes (Budget, ASR’s, S&OP, etc)

Develop and maintain networks at adequate levels in the value chain, within customer’s organizations and Research focusing on engineering and technology.

Accountable for a smooth transfer of business to the Account Manager after three commercial orders

Responsible to communicate to and manage the expectations of the customer with regards to material availability and technical support. Define, in cooperation with the AD and Industry Segment team leader, technical needs for the applications as basis for Product Development Request.

Responsible for collecting and communicating market information, market trends and emerging needs within the Industry Segment and region to contribute to timely VP development.

Requirements

At least 10 years experience in B2B environment relevant for the engineering plastics and the segment involved

Engineering graduate or above, background in polymer preferred

Knowledge of Engineering Plastics markets, applications and application development

Work experience within the value chain - end industry/segments like Automotive/Electrical is an added advantage

Proficient in spoken & written English; local language fluency

Good communication skills

Excellent social skills

Analytical skills and good business acumen
