About the Role
As the Territory Sales Manager, Caribbean, you will contribute to the company’s continued growth by:
Managing overall canned goods sales and marketing in Trinidad, Bahamas, and Leeward Windward Islands.
Meeting sales objectives to maximize profits throughout these regions, along with identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities in these markets.
Work closely with distributor partners to support strategic sales and marketing priorities to achieve monthly sales/profitability budget.
Develop strategic plans to drive our brand and business objectives with each distributor partner and retail, with recognition of the regional differences, marketplace positions and competitive set.
Preparing sales and production budgets and market price structures
Ongoing monitoring of each distributor’s sales, inventory levels & product potential
Act as primary BBSI contact responding to all inquiries and addressing all issues - monitoring outstanding customer accounts and addressing credit issues when required
Ensuring accurate and timely processing of orders to meet each customer’s needs as well as each country’s regulatory requirements
Liaise with procurement team to secure products - manage specialty product shipments to ensure continuity of supply to each market - negotiate final selling price to each market to maximize company profitability
Monitor outstanding customer accounts and address credit issues when required.
Collaborate with Marketing Director to develop brand awareness goals and functional plans to achieve goals throughout the region.
Assist in developing and implementing marketing activities within the allocated budget for each market in this territory - approve various marketing activities requested by distributor (within the budget)
Prepare monthly & ad hoc reports for senior management including sales reviews, competitor review and specific market information.
What You Need to Succeed
University degree in business or 2-3 years minimum of sales & marketing experience
Fluent in English (verbal & written); additional languages are an asset (i.e., Spanish, French)
Experience working with suppliers/distributors; foreign country experience preferred
Marketing skills and knowledge of consumers’ behaviors.
Export and import process knowledge would be an asset.
Good budgeting and forecasting skills.
Experience in negotiations.
Foreign travel experience & understanding of other cultures/business ethics.
