Azure Virtual Desktop Specialist (L3)

Main Responsibility

Implementation of Azure AVD solution.

Manage Azure Cloud for resource and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

End to End Design and Implementation of Azure AVD solution as per the business environment.

Engage in the migration project from Citrix to Azure AVD cloud.

Implement new business requirement with proof of concept for Azure AVD.

Configure and manage Azure subscription, Resource Groups and give permissions to users or groups on subscription and Resource Group level.

Technical experience in Azure Active Directory (AAD), Azure Active Directory Domain Services (AADDS), Azure Kerberos & Azure AD Connect.

Installation and configuration of Azure Networking (VNET/Subnets/NIC/NSGs) as per architecture.

Provisioning of VMs in the respective subnets, Azure Compute (VMs/Availability Sets) as per design.

Ability to work with command line implementation using PowerShell, Azure Modules.

Ability to manage ARM templates and deploy azure resources with it.

FS Logix Profile Containers configuration on VM Cluster, Azure Storage account File share

Host Pool creations using ARM/Terraform templates.

Write PowerShell scripts that can help to automate minor tasks.

Use Azure Monitor and Insights to monitor the performance of all the azure components.

Configure and Use Azure Log Analytics and write KQL queries to get the reports.

Engage in writing KQL queries to fetch reports and logs from Azure Log Analytics that can be used to troubleshoot issues.

Manage Autoscaling in the AVD environment using management tools like Nerdio.

Implement the process for the deployment of software updates, patches, and new applications on AVD and other relevant tools.

Work closely with the AVD, M365 and Network implementation team to ensure seamless integration of business applications.

Implement best practices on AVD with Microsoft Windows 10/11 Multisession OS and familiarization with profile management for best performance, reliability and optimize the cost.

Prepare AVD support related documentation. SOP for technical processes to help the new team members.

Perform daily health, check Scripted/Manual to ensure uptime and availability of AVD related services.

Analyzing, troubleshooting, and fixing complex issues in mixed enterprise environments

To create AVD support related documentation. SOP for technical processes to help the new team members.

Manage GPO specific to AVD OUs for security hardening and automation.

Administration, Monitoring & manage application deployment using MSIX package, SCCM/Tanium packages using FSLogix app masking feature and keep golden images up to date.

Managing Windows infrastructure technologies.

Technical Support which mainly includes working on break fixes, production down, deploy and upgrade the environments, troubleshooting end user issues.

Qualifications

Multi-skilled technical expert with comprehensive experience of designing and deploying Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop solutions.

At least 5 Years of related experience in an IT support organization with 1000+ users management through Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)

Desktop Support specialist with good experience in Package and sequence applications for deployment within Azure Virtual Desktop environments as well physical desktop.

Experience in SCCM, GPO, customizing installation scripts and configurations to ensure compatibility with AVD.

Hands on experience in Windows infrastructure technologies in Azure and on-premises infrastructure.

Flexibility to work in the shift to provide end user 24X7 support.
