Title: Medical Collector - REMOTE
About the Role: If you LOVE working Medical Collections in a fast-paced environment, but from the comfort of your own home, then this might be an exciting opportunity for you. We are rapidly growing and leading physical therapy (PT) clinic platform in the U.S. We own and operate 200+ PT clinics that provide a variety of outpatient rehabilitation services, including: physical therapy, occupational therapy, hand therapy and other ancillary services. We are seeking an independent and extremely detail oriented Medical Collector. The position is responsible for the full range of Payor follow up with different types of Payors. This position is full time (40 hours/week, Monday-Friday).
Must reside in one of these following states:
AZ, ID, KY, MN, MO, MT, ND, NM, NV, OK, SD, TN, TX, WY
Job Duties:
Timely follow up and resolution on claims with all Payors for unpaid, underpaid, or denied claims
Resolve denials and submit appeals
Respond promptly to billing inquiries from patients and insurance companies
Work open Credits on the A/R
Work with clinics to identify and resolve issues regarding outstanding account balances
Utilizes the most efficient resources to secure timely payment of open claims
Research assigned correspondence and takes necessary action to resolve requests
Ensures daily accomplishments contribute toward company goals for A/R
Job Requirements:
2 years of medical accounts receivable experience required
1 year of resolving payor denials required
Understanding of medical claims processing
Experience with insurance systems
Knowledge of insurance including State and Federal rules and regulations as they relate to billing and collections
Ability to read an Explanation of Benefits
Knowledge of medical terminology
Education:
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
