Job Description

At FUELL the position of E-bicycle Manager is responsible for managing and participating in the design, sourcing, procurement, assembly, delivery and customer service of the e-bike range, in the US and in coordination with European teams. It involves ensuring all e-bike components from outside suppliers are built and delivered to the quality expected, as are the final assembled vehicles at that same quality level. The job will also entail investigating any field or production line issues, and resolving them with redesign as needed. In addition, the position will work with sourcing engineers to reduce cost and/or improve quality of current components. The position will work on future e-bike designs, accessories, etc. to help grow the company product line. The position involves proper engineering calculations and research as needed to meet required performance of each component as well as optimization of parts and their interface with the total vehicle for cost, manufacturability and serviceability. Respect for schedule and budget are paramount in fulfilling this role.

Key Objectives:

Organize, manage and oversee the e-bike division personnel, from design to delivery, including all steps and functions to deliver a flawless product to customers.

Work with operations buyer, supply engineer and suppliers to design, re-design an optimize components as needed for best customer experience as well as optimizing for cost, manufacturability and serviceability.

Participate in the design of components to meet goals of future product Feature and Specifications using CAD, and always incorporating input from teammates t0 ensure that designs are optimized with the widest range of knowledge incorporated.

Participate in the development and building of prototypes and run tests as needed to measure their level of function.

Study all current products and review field and line issues with Quality Production Manager.

Consult with suppliers during product manufacturing, advising them on design specifications, revising appropriately based on their input.

Work hands on with prototypes and pre-production units, using knowledge from that to refine components for best assembly and service.

Research competitor products and collaborate with team members to generate ideas for best possible product.

Work with teammates to ensure top management has correct information on cost, quality and schedule of components and overall full final product.

Deliver to Job 1 and work to meet/exceed business goals.

Education, Experience, and Knowledge / Skills / Abilities / Requirements:

Required:

Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Technology

Two years experience in a professional industrial managing position

Investigative mind inclined toward developing practical solutions to real-world problems

Proficiency with CAD (Solidworks or comparable) and Microsoft Office

Preferred:

E-bike industry experience

Proficiency with hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment

Legacy of respecting and valuing input from all co-workers

Work Environment

Work is performed on site in an engineering office environment, with some time on the shop floor
