Lebanese-Middle Eastern restaurant is seeking an experienced Host/Hostess. The Host/Hostess is responsible to Provide friendly, responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for all of our guests, by welcoming and warmly greeting guests on arrival. Manage the efficient and timely seating of our guests to a table that best serves their wishes. We deliver great food, warmth, happiness, smiles and exceptional customer service. We strive to provide exceptional guest service and hospitality. Our ideal host will be able to greet and engage with guests, assist them with reservations, and ensure that their overall needs are met.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Primary

Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the establishment

Make and pre-plan reservations in Resy

Assist with take out orders

Maintain an organized host stand

Effectively communicate with servers and kitchen staff

Monitor the dining area and collaborate with bussers to maintain a clean and sanitized environment

Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of the restaurant.

Warmly and graciously greet all guests and seat them at tables or in waiting areas.

Open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant when possible.

Provide guests with menus and inform them of their server’s name upon seating.

Record guest names and the number of people in party and provide guests with estimated waiting time when immediate seating is limited.

Assign guests to tables suitable for their needs and according to rotation so that servers receive an appropriate number of seatings.

Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, to respond to complaints, or to make conversation.

Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries or transfer calls.

Maintain contact with kitchen staff, management, serving staff, and guests to ensure that dining details are handled properly, and customers' concerns are addressed.

Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.

Inform guests of establishment specialties and features.

Receive and record guests' dining reservations.

Inspect restrooms for cleanliness and availability of supplies and clean restrooms when necessary.

Direct guests to coatrooms and waiting areas such as lounges.

Relay messages to servers and bussers as needed.

Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.

Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.

Supervise and coordinate activities of dining room staff to ensure that patrons receive prompt and courteous service.

Pay: $15/hr plus tips.

Technology: Square POS and Resy

Requirements:

2 year’s experience as a server

Having strong attention to detail and the ability to retain and clearly articulate details of the bakery products

Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Results-oriented and impeccably organized

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines

Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail.

Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours).

Physical demands with activity or condition may occasionally include walking, bending, reaching, standing, lifting, carrying and stooping

May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 40 lbs
