About the Role:

As a Line Cook at Upstream Brewing, you will be an integral part of our culinary team and play a crucial role in maintaining the exceptional quality of our food. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring that they are presented in an appealing manner and meet our high standards. Your ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment will be crucial to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare ingredients, such as meat, poultry, fish, and vegetables for cooking

Follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure consistency and high-quality standards

Cook and plate a wide range of menu items according to established guidelines

Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times

Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure prompt and efficient service

Adhere to all food safety and sanitation procedures to guarantee compliance with health and safety regulations

Assist in food inventory management and stock rotation

Keep up with industry trends and continuously strive to improve your culinary skills

Qualifications:

Previous experience working as a Line Cook, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment

Knowledge of various cooking techniques and procedures

Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

Strong organizational and time management skills

Excellent attention to detail and dedication to food quality

Current food handler’s permit or willingness to obtain one

Team player with a positive attitude

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
