Job Responsibilities:

Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs

Upgrade virtualization systems with new releases and models

Perform complex troubleshooting and analysis to determine ways to improve the virtualization system’s reliability, scalability, availability and performance

Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures for virtualization infrastructure

Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time for virtualization infrastructure

Perform security audit of virtualization systems and assess their outcomes

Secures system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation

Preserve assets, information security and control structures in the virtualization infrastructure.

Provide input for annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness.

Participate in project meetings, liaise and participate in meetings with vendors and software providers.

Monitors and maintains capacity and availability for the virtualization environments

Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential

Manage information technology and computer systems for virtualization

Plan, organize, control, and evaluate solution and technologies for virtualization

Perform daily backup operations monitoring, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s in information technology, computer science, application development, programming, or related degree and/or equivalent work experience

Proven experience as a Cloud Administrator, Virtualization Administrator, or similar role

Good knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of virtualization and cloud systems

Minimum 2 years’ knowledge and experience in managing VMware Virtualization Infrastructures

Experience and knowledge in cloud administration (Microsoft Azure, Alibaba Cloud, Google Cloud Platform, AWS) would be an added advantage.

Knowledge of Server Operating Systems including Windows Server 2012, 2012 R2, 2016, 2019 and 2022

Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude.

Effective communication skills including listening, speaking, and writing
