Summary

Provide cloud software research, development, and engineering services to include requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, sustainment, testing, validation, and issue diagnosis/resolution.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or in a related technical field which will be considered as two (2) years of experience is desired.

NOTE: A degree in Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or similar degree will be considered as a technical field.

Should have one of the following certifications or be willing to obtain within six (6) months of start: Cloudera Certified Professional (CCP) Data Engineer, Elastic Certified Observability Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), AWS Certified Developer - Associate, AWS DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect- Associate.

Experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, and problem diagnosis/resolution.

Demonstrated ability to work with OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Accumulo, Big Table, et cetera.

Demonstrated experience with OpenSource (NoSQL) products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs such as Hbase, Accumulo, and/or Big Table.

Demonstrated experience with Map/Reduce and/or Hadoop, Hive, and/or Pig.

Demonstrated work experience with the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).

Active DoD TS//SCI Security Clearance with poly required.

Cloud Software Engineer, Jr.

Zero (0) years of experience with a bachelor's degree.

Two (2) years of experience in software integration and software testing, to include developing and implementing test plans and test scripts.

One (1) year of experience developing software with high-level languages such as Java, C, C++, et cetera.

Desired:

Hadoop/Cloud Developer Certification

Demonstrated experience with Big-Data Cloud Scalability (e.g. Amazon, Google, and/or Facebook)

Demonstrated experience designing and developing web applications with JavaScript

Demonstrated experience designing and developing automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms.

Demonstrated experience with compute cluster monitoring tools (e.g. Hobbit, Ganglia)

Demonstrated experience with Accumulo internals, to include configuring, tuning, and testing Accumulo in many configurations (>200 node clusters).

Cloud Software Engineer, Mid

Five (5) years of experience with a Bachelor's degree.

Four(4) years of experience developing software with high level languages such as Java, C, C++.

Demonstrated work experience with Serialization such as JSON and/or BSON.

Demonstrated work experience developing Restful services.

Three (3) years of experience developing software for UNIX/Linux (Redhat versions 3-5) operating systems.
