Senior Linux Systems Engineer (Storage)

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Linux Systems Engineer for a client in Irvine, CA

Salary Range: $150K -$200K in base

IRVINE, CA (100% on-site)

Needs someone with EXPERT LEVEL AUTOMATION CREATION EXPERIENCE WITH ANSIBLE OR PYTHON.

Need Strong experince with storage, currently using VAST but other platforms are acceptable.

To ensure that our computing infrastructure meets the performance and stability needs of our employees, we are seeking a senior systems engineer to join our it team in Irvine, ca (this is an on-site role).

Successful candidates will demonstrate a methodical and rigorous approach to their work, possess outstanding troubleshooting skills, and bring a team-first, customer-oriented approach to the position. The ability to work independently within the context of a small, flat organization is essential. This role is fast-paced, dynamic, and imperative to the ongoing success of our firm.

Ideal candidates will possess hands-on work experience in the following areas:

• Building, deploying, and managing Linux servers on-premise

• Deploying and managing enterprise applications on-premise and in the cloud (SaaS)

• Deploying and managing critical network services (e.g., DNS, DHCP)

• IT security fundamentals, including patch management and MDM (JAMF, Intune/Workspace One)

• Implementing and using it automation tools (Ansible, PYTHON, chef, puppet, etc.)

• Scripting in bash, python, or similar languages

Background in the following areas would also be helpful:

• Building, deploying, and managing virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere, ESXi, horizon)

• Networking concepts and hardware (e.g., cisco, palo alto networks)

• Active directory administration

• Troubleshooting all kinds of it devices (VoIP, phones, printers, scanners, etc.)

• Managing high-end conference room audio visual systems (e.g., zoom rooms, Crestron)
