IMRI has an immediate need for a Network Engineer Administrator with 4-7 years of experience. Must be willing to drive to other job sites in the LA County area. Primary work location is Pomona, Ca.

This role requires a skilled and experienced in Palo Alto networks and can manage and optimize complex network environments, ensure security, and provide robust support and documentation. The candidate should possess strong technical skills in network management and security tools, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capability to handle multiple projects and deadlines efficiently.

Job Description:

Network Design and Management: Design, build, implement, and manage wired, wireless, WAN, and cloud network systems across multiple enterprise campuses hosting hundreds of users.

Network Planning and Optimization: Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize all local, data/voice, and wide area networks, connections, and associated software, hardware, and communication links.

Troubleshooting and Capacity Planning: Troubleshoot network performance issues, analyze network traffic, and provide capacity planning solutions to ensure optimal and redundant network performance.

Process Development: Develop processes around network procedures, ensuring industry best practices are followed and documented.

Network Management and Security: Oversee network management, security, planning, traffic engineering, and implementation, including firewalls upgrades and updates, VPN deployments, and disaster recovery testing.

Managed Service Providers Oversight: Assist in managing Managed Service Providers/Carriers and provide oversight for service level agreement adherence.

Technical Issue Mitigation: Develop mitigation plans for technical issues and coordinate with other departments and/or partner organizations to ensure network connectivity can quickly be recovered or redirected in the event of a major outage.

Documentation: Create and maintain documentation including physical and logical network topology diagrams, detailed port connectivity spreadsheets, and assigned IP address (public and private) documentation.

Maintenance and Change Management: Prepare periodic maintenance plans and comply with change management procedures.

Second-Level Support: Provide second-level support to the customer base and interface with vendor support groups to ensure proper escalation during outages or periods of degraded system performance.

Project Management: Plan and organize multiple assignments to meet deadlines; communicate clearly both orally and in writing; work cooperatively and productively as a team member.

Experience Required:

Expertise in Next Gen Firewalls, specifically Palo Alto Firewalls: PA3020, PA3220, PA1410.

Proficiency in Palo Alto Global Protect VPN/tunneling configuration.

Strong knowledge of Cisco switches: 2960, 3850, 9000 Catalyst series, and Nexus 9300.

Experience with VMware (versions 6.x, 7.x, 8.x).

Proficiency in routing protocols and troubleshooting: OSPF, IGRP, BGP, EGP, and EIGRP.

Disaster recovery implementation experience.

Subnetting and VLAN spanning across multiple sites.

DHCP and Radius setup expertise.

Familiarity with PRTG monitoring and syslog.

Education:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a computer-related field.

Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or similar certification is desired.

Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) at a minimum.

Job Location:

Primary location is Pomona, with travel to other locations within Southern California.
