Job Description:
Our industry leading client is in search of a VP, Global IT Quality Assurance to join their Information Technology. As the VP, Global IT QA, you will provide strategic leadership and direction, overseeing all Centralized QA functions. This role involves managing multiple teams of full-time employees and consultants, driving modernization in our QA processes across various areas including functional/manual, automated, load/performance testing, and more. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute the overall QA Strategy aligned with the wider IT strategy
Drive centralization, modernization, and scalability of QA resources
Coordinate with CIO, CTO, and other tech leaders to prioritize key systems initiatives and ensure quality assurance of enterprise solutions
Lead the IT Quality Assurance group with a process-driven methodology to ensure project goals and QA standards are met
Collaborate with Business and Development teams to generate comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases
Manage QA recruiting, vendor management, and contracts
Define new best practices, processes, and tooling for QA
Establish test automation standards and frameworks
Provide standardized QA productivity and project/release testing status reporting
Own and govern the QA environment
Technical Qualifications:
Must have 5+ years of Insurance industry experience
10+ years as a QA leader and 15+ years QA experience
Experience in managing software/application QA at scale
Proven track record in test automation strategy and frameworks
Expertise in Automation Testing Tools (HP QTP, Selenium, etc.) and performance testing tools (LoadRunner, AppLoader, etc.)
Strong hands-on experience in UI and back-office systems testing
In-depth knowledge of software engineering and development lifecycle
QA leadership experience with DuckCreek preferred
Guidewire Insurance solutions required
General Qualifications:
Experience leading leaders and offsite teams
Ability to manage team and tooling costs
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of integration with enterprise systems and architectural standards
Excellent communication, presentation, and organization skills
Comfortable with fast-paced and schedule-driven development
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, Mathematics, or related field preferred
