Role :: Appian Functional Testing

Key Responsibilities:
Functional Testing:
• Develop, execute, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases for Appian applications.
• Conduct thorough functional testing to ensure applications meet business requirements and performance standards.
• Identify, document, and track defects, and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Perform regression testing to verify that recent changes have not adversely affected existing functionality.
Automation:
• Design and implement automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks.
• Develop and maintain an automated testing suite for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Ensure high test coverage and maintain the reliability of automated tests.
• Analyze test results, generate reports, and provide insights to stakeholders.
Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on testability.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings and contribute to planning and retrospective sessions.
• Provide training and support to team members on testing best practices and automation tools.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure understanding and alignment on testing strategies and outcomes.
Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in testing methodologies, tools, and technologies.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance the overall quality and efficiency of the testing cycle.
• Advocate for and implement best practices in functional and automated testing.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in functional testing and automation within the Appian platform.
• Strong knowledge of Appian application development and testing frameworks.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or similar.
• Experience with automation tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or similar.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
