Bilingual Technical Sales Engineer/Account Manager

Southeast Texas or Central Texas

Develops new business in a technical sales role by consulting on product design (DFM) and tool design, obtains RFQ and submits and negotiates proposals, manages awarded programs to achieve program objectives with respect to cost and timing, coordinates a team to successfully launch new programs, simultaneously tracks multiple products/programs with several customers; general account management and forecasting with several customers.

Location: Candidates must be located in southeast or central Texas

Travel: Frequent visits to new and current customers, interfacing with purchasing and product engineering staff located in Mexico, with occasional international travel visiting customer plants or our Mexico manufacturing location or participating in tool builds/trials.

Knowledge and Experience: Ideal candidates have several years of product and/or tooling engineering responsibility, and/or technical sales representative with a successful track record for profitable revenue growth, and/or successful program management responsibility; preferably with a company specializing in plastics injection molding, two shot molding, insert molding, decorating, and assembly. Knowledge of the automotive industry, resin selection, tool design, DFM/feasibility, understanding product 2D drawings (dimensions/tolerances (GD&T) and specifications, APQP & PPAP process, cost estimating, capacity planning, and process engineering are beneficial.

Education: BS Degree (in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred)

A Master’s degree in Engineering or Business is a plus.

Attributes/Skills: Computer (Microsoft Office/Teams, Project, and CAD), strong organizational and communication skills, highly motivated and results-oriented, outgoing personality to develop and build relationships, effectively multi-task, lead generation/cold calls and trade shows to market the company, strong problem-solving and decision-making, excellent customer service a must.

Bilingual required (English/Spanish)

Compensation: The base salary is commensurate with experience, education, and skills (estimated range of $80,000-$100,000), plus commission, benefits, a matching 401(k) plan, and a company car or car allowance.
