Job Summary:
Benjamin Moore is currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Team at our Corporate Headquarters in Montvale, NJ as a Program and Data Support Professional with both Functional and Technical skills. The primary focus of this role will be to work directly with Retailers, POS Vendors and Corporate Business Team members to successfully implement, maintain and support Benjamin Moore Programs, Data and related Point-of-Sale and Operational Procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities:
and Communications:
and communicate with Independently Owned Retail stores and Corporate personnel
updating and distributing program status reports
group mailboxes for program submissions
Retailers:
retailers from a POS perspective into various programs, including COLORx, Outside Sales Rep (OSR), Contractor Commercial Pricing/Director of Sales Rebate (CCP/RSD), Electronic Data Interchange (EDI), Contractor Rewards (BIW), and others
End User Support:
Review incoming requests from end users and interpret work to be performed
Retailers using our endorsed point of sale system and other POS systems with data and operational needs
and troubleshoot POS and program related issues, resolving the root cause
Documentation and Procedures:
Create and maintain written procedures and best practices as related to POS systems
Maintaining inter-departmental how-to documentation
Collaborate with Accounting and Tax experts to ensure adherence to proper rules and standards
Preparing and distributing communications and newsletters
Inventory Support:
Supporting retail physical inventory counts and related data and analysis as required
Special Projects and Meetings:
Backup host for weekly/monthly meetings with POS vendors
Assist with special projects and tasks as needed
the Data Team with:
daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly interface review to ensure data accuracy and integrity for all data related to the Master Database of Inventory Items and Store Status Information
of load files (BM products – possibly others from our database), Benjamin Cost Updates, inventory item data review, conversion and cleansing
Developing and preparing periodic and Ad-hoc reports using various applications
Schedule:
evening and weekend work may be required to meet the needs of the Business
Desired Skills & Experience:
5+ years experience in the retail environment with an understanding of retail business processes a must
Prior experience in the paint or home improvement industry is desired, providing familiarity with industry-specific dynamics and customer needs
Fundamental understanding of general accounting and tax principles
2+ years system/data maintenance with emphasis on customer/inventory data
Solid customer service experience
Ability to successfully multi-task while maintaining data integrity – manage multiple tasks simultaneously while ensuring data integrity and accuracy are maintained at all times
Must be detail oriented
Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, coupled with strong interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
Capable of conducting thorough research, exercising sound judgment, prioritizing tasks effectively, and executing them with precision and efficiency
Self-motivated individual with the ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
Quick learner with a positive and professional demeanor, adaptable to changing priorities and environments
Experience with point-of-sale applications is desired, demonstrating an understanding of retail transaction processes and systems
Strong Microsoft Office Skills in Excel, Word, Access, and SAP Business Objects
Knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL querying, Toad, SAP, and Qlik Sense is advantageous
Education & Certifications:
2 year college degree or equivalent technical training or work experience
