Data Analytics Lead

A prominent insurance company is looking for a seasoned Data Analytics Lead to join its Enterprise Data and Analytic Office (EDAO). This position offers a unique chance to collaborate with the Chief Data & Analytics Officer (CDAO) and the Head of Data Science, Individual Markets, in driving the company's transformation and maximizing business value through cutting-edge analytics and data science solutions.

This position will start as a senior level IC, but will eventually have a team. We are looking for a leadership candidate that is willing/able to be hands on, and is a true collaborator/influencer.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage analytical solutions to business problems.

Support use case development from initial data exploration to final reporting.

Perform data wrangling, matching, and ETL to prepare datasets for modeling.

Apply advanced statistical and AI/ML techniques to create predictive models.

Collaborate with Data Engineers and MLOps to deploy models/solutions.

Requirements:

Advanced degree (PhD or Master’s) in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field. (PhD with 6 YOE or MS with 10 YOE)

Extensive experience in data analysis and statistical modeling.

Proficiency in machine learning techniques and Python programming (clustering, decision tree, bagging/boosting artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.

Strong background in algorithms and experimental design.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Location & Travel:

Hybrid work arrangement: 2 days in office, 3 days remote.
