Responsibilities and Duties of a Line Cook:
Our cooks are responsible for following HACCP Regulations when preparing our food for airline customers based upon established customer specifications.
The Ideal Line Cook Candidate:
Culinary degree or cooking certification preferred.
At least 2 years of experience cooking in a high volume institutional catering environment preferred.
Must have strong efficiency in knife skills
Must be able to read, write and understand English
Must be able to use fingers/hands to handle equipment
Must be able to lift and push 50+ lbs
Must be able to stand, bend, lift and move intermittently during shift of 8+ hours.
Must be flexible and able to react to changing priorities.
Must have an understanding of various cooking techniques and the ability to follow recipes
Must have strong organizational skills
Must have a strong understanding of food safety and & HACCP regulations
Environmental Requirements:
May be exposed to extreme temperature changes and noise
Exposed to hot surfaces
