Our client in the retail industry is looking for a financial modelling and FP&A whiz to join their Supply Chain & Logistics finance team as a Senior Financial Analyst.

This role involves delivering actionable insights to the Logistics Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance teams through comprehensive and complex financial analysis on a range of ad hoc reporting and data requests. It also includes overseeing and providing analytical support for weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports, forecasts, and cross-functional business collaboration as needed.

Conducting detailed financial analysis on various ad hoc reports and data requisitions.

Constructing sophisticated financial models and scenario plans aimed at optimizing results and mitigating risks to aid in Supply Chain and Logistics decision-making.

Preparing and presenting data, forward-looking trends, and insightful conclusions to senior management.

Supervising the accuracy of weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports and forecasts; participating in budgeting and accounting processes as necessary.

Developing and maintaining Logistics finance dashboards that integrate real-time information into user-friendly displays.

Creating processes to streamline financial activities and KPIs across Logistics, Distribution Centers (DCs), and Financial Control groups.

Serving as a point-of-contact and subject matter expert on Logistics finance for cross-functional projects and optimization efforts.

What You'll Need

To start your career with our client, we re looking for the following:

A post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., Finance and Accounting, Business/Economics, Statistics).

A related professional designation (e.g., CPA, CFA, MBA) is advantageous; in-progress designations will also be considered.

At least five (5) years of professional experience in Accounting or Financial Analysis, including knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, and analysis best practices; ability to apply GAAP knowledge to develop and lead tactical initiatives, providing forward-focused financial insights.

Previous experience supporting Logistics and/or Supply Chain Operations is preferred.

Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, including analysis of complex information and research skills with understanding of database design/manipulation concepts.

A strong self-starter with the ability to work in a detail-oriented, multi-project environment while meeting tight deadlines; capable of working independently, estimating time required to complete projects, and keeping team members informed of progress.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel), Power BI, Power Query, and SharePoint; experience with accounting software, database, and data manipulation tools (e.g., Oracle, TM1, Monarch) is a plus.
