Job Description: The President is responsible for driving the success of the organization through exemplary leadership of the management team and delivery of the business plan.
Responsibilities:
Strategy and Planning
Accountable for business leadership and delivery of the Annual Business Plan
Push for continuous improvements across all direct and supporting businesses and functions
Involvement in developing and executing the 3-5-year business plan to ensure sustained profitable growth performance and clarity of direction and objectives for each function
Ensure collaborative planning with onsite production and capital expenditure requirements and offsite production facilities
Ensure application of established corporate financial and internal controls by providing direction and support to the implementation and maintenance of policies, instructions, and internal control procedures
Ensure project management tools are maintained and key deadlines are met throughout the organization
Make key decisions based on input brought forward by management team, Board of Directors and Chairman
Explore and assist with acquisition, investment, and partnership opportunities
Business Management
Lead and facilitate the effective management of all activities and resources including Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, IT, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources
Support in the development of plans to achieve long term business goals including branding, positioning, and customer management
Oversee monthly and annual financial reporting and forecasts, identifying variances and opportunities
Safeguard Company brand framework ensuring positive evolution is maintained
Oversee the development of product positioning, packaging and pricing strategies to produce the highest possible long-term market share
Evaluate and advise on supplier, customer, legal and other contracts
Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Board of Directors and other key partners
Leadership, People, Culture
Be a role model for Zavida in Values, Behaviors, Ethics and Compliance and Safety
Lead, work with and oversee the management team including Sales, Operations, Human Resources, Marketing, Quality Assurance, IT and Finance
Identify, develop & foster strategic relationships that complement the activities of Zavida
Communicate and maintain Zavida’s mission, vision and values
Ensure Zavida has a compelling recruitment and retention strategy and assist with key succession planning
Drive a high performing team through strong leadership, open feedback and clear directives
Maintain a customer, quality, consistency and employee first mentality
Requirements:
Post-secondary university education
Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
Ability to inspire people
Clear understanding of the future of the company and ability to plan, strategize and execute
Innovative and entrepreneurial
Extensive executive management experience, ideally within the CPG industry
Excellent financial and operational working knowledge
Excellent communication skills (customers, management team, board members) and a high relatability with employees and other stakeholders of companies.
High level of emotional intelligence
Able to handle stress and to work in high growth work environments
Strong understanding of technology as it relates to manufacturing and ecommerce
University degree
A minimum of 4 years relevant business experience in insights or analytics field
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong business acumen.
