As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing transport performance and developing a customer service strategy for carrier operations. You will also be tasked with creating and implementing training and coaching programs. Your role will include managing inbound transportation and continuous improvement programs, as well as developing and managing business capabilities.

Responsibilities

Managing performance benchmarks, overseeing delivery to customers, and handling both internal and external account management.

Managing any arising issues and performing import/export management.

International transportation planning, execution, and import customs processing.

Tracking inbound deliveries, inventory status, and shipping performance.

Working closely with sector experts to further digitize operations.

Full accountability for end-to-end dispatch plans from transportation service providers and overseeing the transport planning operations done by the Transport Specialists.

Overseeing various projects, undertaking and analyzing reporting on carrier deliveries, receiving monthly export orders, and ensuring these are factored into delivery plans by the Transport Freight Coordinator.

Working with Supply Planning to understand the likely number of deliveries in the month.

Qualifications

A relevant university degree is required.

1-3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry.

Proficiency in international transport execution, foreign trade, and export/import management.

Technical skills in JDA, SAP, Excel, gTMS, and system administration.

Understanding of S&OP and the business environment.

Strong stakeholder management, performance management, scenario, and exception-based planning skills.

Fluent oral and written communication skills in English and Arabic.

Problem-solving skills and good numeric abilities.

Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Leadership and people management skills.

An understanding of Lean principles is desirable but not essential.
