Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Full Stack Developer for our client in the Retail domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Role: Full Stack Developer

Primary Skills: Node.JS

Role Description: As a Full Stack Developer, you must have at least 9+ years of experience. A full stack developer is a web developer or engineer who works with both the front and back ends of a website or application meaning they can tackle projects that involve databases, APIs, build user-facing websites, or even work with clients during the planning phase of projects.

You’ll be joining a multidisciplinary team of product managers, marketers, designers and engineers who research and innovate on latest technology to create awesome digital products that millions of people will experience every day.

You will be responsible for designing and building backend and frontend systems that improve customer experience, enable innovative user experiences, and increase store revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

- Research, prototype, and develop software solutions to solve problems across retail.

- Stay up to date with emerging technology and learn new technologies/libraries/frameworks.

- Deliver on time with a high bar on quality of research, innovation, and engineering.

“Must Have” Specific Knowledge and Skills:

- 5+ years of experience with backend frameworks (node.js, NestJS)

- 5+ years of solid foundation and understanding of relational and NoSQL database principles.

- 5+ years of experience with AWS Cloud Services

- 5+ years of experience in creating API using NodeJS, Python, Java, or Go developing software solutions for real world problems (Recent experience in NodeJS required)

- 5+ years of experience with microservices or SOA Architecture and other design patterns

- Experience working with Confluent Kafka, Kafka Streams, and Flink

- Experience with Kubernetes for containerized application tooling and deployments.

- Experience with CI/CD including automated e2e tests with Cypress or Playwright

- Experience with frontend frameworks: Angular, React

- Mentorship of Junior level engineers to help make informed decisions.

- Possesses exceptional troubleshooting skills.

- Stays on the leading edge of software development tools and best practices.

- Self-directed with a start-up entrepreneur mindset

- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science/Engineering/Math, or relevant experience

“Nice To Have” Knowledge and Skills:

- Experience working with Nx Workspaces/Monorepos, Nx Cloud

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses
