Responsibilities
Prospects, develops, proposes and acquires new business revenue through sales to new and existing clients.
Creates and maintains prospect list by developing and building professional contacts and networking.
Adheres to Company best practices and processes to obtain and maintain accurate information from prospects and clients; including completed applications, supplemental questionnaires, risk surveys, and other related documentation in order to provide complete, comprehensive submissions and quotes.
Works effectively with Service Team to provide prompt and professional customer service to retain clients.
Accurately documents client files and electronic files with client discussions, quotes, and coverage needs into company data management system.
Develops and maintains relationships with underwriters.
Renews existing clients every year
Cross sells corporate clients property & casualty, personal insurance and benefits policies
Participates in professional development activities to continue improving knowledge base needed for employee benefits
Assists in other projects or duties as assigned or required.
Performs other related duties and tasks as necessary or as assigned.
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.
Two years of commission sales experience or 2 years of insurance experience preferred.
Active Property & Casualty and/or Life, Accident & Health license is preferred but will train good individual
Persistent desire to succeed, competitive drive
Proficient skill level with computer programs including: Microsoft (Word, Excel, Outlook) Suite, and other Agency or Data Management systems.
Ability to provide solutions and creative ideas to handle sales opportunities and difficult situations.
Excellent oral and written communication skills to articulate key information.
