Value-Added Food Sales (VAFS) is a privately held grocery broker/wholesaler serving the non-profit, hunger relief industry. From our position in the industry, we create value for food banks and large agencies primarily by helping them procure more effectively, removing cost from the entire food value chain. Sales Representative Responsibilities:

Advise buyers on processes, best practices, products and availability, market dynamics, pricing, and vendor selection

Coordinate sales, assist with on-line ordering, provide feedback to vendor management, and clearly articulate service capabilities and commitments

Collaborate with internal teams to provide exceptional customer service

Assist with developing food bank cooperative purchasing programs

Create value with our customers and deliver business growth

Role Requirements:

Applicants must have excellent computer skills with a thorough knowledge of Microsoft 365. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is helpful.

Strong knowledge of modern sales techniques and strategies

Proven track record of successful sales and customer service achievements

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Critical thinking skills and the ability develop and execute a sales plan

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal

Applicants must be available to travel

Experience in non-profit, hunger relief, and/or dry grocery industry is very helpful

Preferred applicants will have a bachelor’s degree in Sales & Business Marketing and/or Business Management/Administration or related fields

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 + uncapped growth incentive (target 15% of salary)
