Our client an AmLaw 200 firm is seeking a compliance attorney to join its Ft. Lauderdale office. This is a great opportunity to join a labor and employment boutique firm where you can learn and grow alongside a supportive team. The ideal candidate will have experience counseling employers on day-to-day employment issues.
Responsibilities:
Draft and review employee handbooks
Draft and review employment policies and procedures
Draft separation agreements
Advise employers on wage-hour requirements
Prepare and facilitate manager trainings for clients
Requirements:
Experience in employment law (ideally in ADA and FMLA)
JD from an accredited law school with stellar academic credentials
Prior experience in human resources, education, labor or government contracting a PLUS
Admitted and in good standing admission with Florida Bar
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong writing and analytical skills
Self starter who thrives in an independent environment and also as part of team
