SharePoint Developer - Washington, DC - On-Site

Location: On-Site Washington, DC

Period of Performance: 18 months with option years

Citizenship: must be a US citizen with the ability to pass a criminal background check.

Hours: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day between the hours of 7am - 6pm with the ability to telework upon approval from management team.

Compensation: $ 40-$50 per hour depending on experience

Scope:

Develop, design, coding, and deploy tools and sites using SharePoint Online functionality. Perform customizations to deliver the required functionality. The sites to be enhanced and developed will automate business processes and organize services in support of several human resource programs, including but not limited to performance management and the continued design, delivery, and enhancements of an information portal containing career development tools and resources for managers and employees. Must be able to interact with executive-level customers and management to gather requirements and deliver solutions/functionality, work in a fast-paced environment and meet challenging deadlines.

In addition, the contractor will update and maintain an existing central repository of human resources best practices for the entire customer community. If necessary, the contractor shall perform customizations to deliver the required functionality.

Requirements/Experience and Competencies:

Plan, design, configure, develop, and troubleshoot SharePoint Online out-of-the box and custom solutions.

Candidate Specific Requirements, at an expert-level:

• Experience developing in SharePoint Online environment required.

• 3 years minimum experience with SharePoint permissions

• 5 years minimum experience supporting/administering / Designing, Configurating &Customizing SharePoint 2013/16 nd/or Online

• 5 years minimum experience in SharePoint Online/Office 365 taxonomy, metadata, content management, collaboration, custom web parts, reports, search, Master Pages, content types

• 5 years minimum experience with (HTML, CSS (Responsive), JavaScript, jQuery, SharePoint SP services and Rest API) and knowledge utilizing JavaScript to display SharePoint list data.

• Experience with modern JavaScript framework and rapid application development platforms (React/Redux, NodeJS, etc.).

• Experience working within the House of Representatives operating environment preferred.

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Must have exceptional presentation skills.

• Must be able to gather and translate user requirements to technical solutions and implement those requirements

• Related IT certifications preferred (SharePoint)

• Related College degree preferred (Bachelor and/or master's degree in computer science information systems)

Description of Work:

• Configure and implement out-of-the box SharePoint sites to include but not be limited to webparts and human resource related workflows/services.

• Understand SharePoint core features to configure out-of-the-box and custom SharePoint Online solutions.

• Configure Site Columns and Site Content Types.

• Create custom HTML pages present SharePoint list content.

• Utilize JavaScript and jQuery Libraries to render SharePoint data.

• Implement intuitive user interfaces for SharePoint Solutions, when required.

• Create SharePoint Add-ins development, deployment to build custom Apps.

• Design and create SharePoint templates.

• Develop metadata and taxonomy based on user requirements to ensure view and structure of application fits user requirements.

• Configure search scopes.

• Configure Permission/Access Control.

• Design and implement out of the box and customized workflows and page views

• Provide support for installation, farm configuration and use.

• Multitask several competing requests by gathering effective requirements, estimating tasks and managing priorities

• Be a proactive, solution-oriented self-starter with the ability to quickly assemble the big picture.

• Perform other official duties as assigned.
