Machine Operator - 3rd Shift (Non Progression)

Responsibilities Description of Duties and Responsibilities: * Operates CNC machine, makes tool wear offsets/adjustments and related tasks.

* Performs gauging and visual inspection of parts and washes and prepare for shipment.

May also perform secondary operations such as assembly or deburring.

* Includes part inspection using the CMM, contour reader, etc.

* Performs preventative maintenance activities on the machines including lubricating and maintaining coolant / oil levels.

* Completes and maintains relevant paperwork.

* Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: * Proven ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures * Proven ability to understand standard units of measure and metric system * Proven ability to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices * Proven ability to understand and operate complex machines such as optical comparator, profilometer, coordinate measuring machines, calipers, contor reader, micrometer, and others as needed * Demonstrate general knowledge of lockout/ tag-out procedures * Proven ability to operate a pallet jack * Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push and pull up to 30 pounds without assistance.

* Ability to wear safety glasses ANSI Z87 approved, steel toe shoes and other PPE as required * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Demonstrate positive attitude and willingness to follow directions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: * Proven ability to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices * Proven ability to understand and operate complex machines such as optical comparator, profilometer, coordinate measuring machines, calipers, contor reader, micrometer, and others as needed * Demonstrate general knowledge of lockout/ tag-out procedures Education and Experience Required: * High School diploma * Minimum of 1 year manufacturing experience Education and Experience Preferred: * Associates Degree in Machine Tool Technology or related field * Operation of CNC equipment (Lathe, Mill, Grinder) #LI-KB1 #LI-ONSITE
