Hiring in Livonia, Michigan The Accounts Payable/Payroll Administrator is responsible for the efficient processing and payment of accounts payable by the company.

They are also responsible for completing the full accounts payable process start to finish and ensuring compliance with internal control, company policies and procedures and general accounting practices.

Additional responsibilities are payroll administration of weekly timesheets and bi-weekly payroll for a multistate firm; which includes processing payroll through third-party provided software and all payroll related tasks including, related taxes, benefits, 401K withholding, HSA withholding and any other ad-hoc requirements Your Primary Focus Invoice Coding and Approval * Process invoices: This includes receiving emails, routing invoices for approval, matching them to purchase orders, ensuring accurate coding, performing check runs, and submitting miscellaneous payments.

* Maintain invoice accuracy: This involves confirming proper coding down to the appropriate level and troubleshooting incomplete paperwork.

* Support timely payments: This includes resolving vendor issues and monitoring accounts for payment updates.

General Accounting & Administration * Vendor Management: Create and maintain vendor records, obtain and manage W-9s & insurance certificates, and address vendor inquiries.

* Invoice Processing & Payment: Support subcontractor invoice coding, monitor early payment discounts, and maintain a consistent payment schedule.

* Accounts Payable Operations: Document and implement AP processes, ensure proper recordkeeping, and provide supporting documentation for audits.

Payroll-Related Duties * Payroll Processing & Administration: Process payroll, maintain records and reports, oversee timesheet maintenance, and ensure accurate recordkeeping.

* Tax & Compliance: Review and monitor payroll taxes, comply with wage garnishments, and be the point of contact for time and attendance inquiries.

* Benefits & Deductions: Process expense reports with payroll, manage 401k, HSA, and benefit deductions with vendors, and assist with external audits related to payroll and benefits.

What you will need to Succeed * Should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, time management and workload efficiency skills * Should have a Career Advancement Matrix Responsibility Horizon of 1 to 2 years.

* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or business preferred * Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role, payables and payroll experience preferred * Ability to learn and work within an ERP software for invoice processing * Must be proficient in basic office software applications needed to perform the role (Word, Excel, Adobe, Outlook) * Should possess knowledge of accounts payable and general accounting procedures * Ability to maintain and grow vendor relationships Come work for OHM Advisors, the community advancement firm.
