Position Summary
The Outside Sales Representative will focus on opportunity-based sales, maintaining relationships with current customers while seeking out new business opportunities. You'll be responsible for effectively managing your territory, representing the company professionally, and staying informed about industry trends and competitor activities.
Responsibilities
Cultivate and maintain relationships with current customers
Expand sales within existing accounts
Highlight product features and benefits to customers
Develop a network of referrals to drive revenue growth
Identify and pursue new customer accounts, including cold calling if necessary
Stay updated on new products and competitor strategies
Manage call schedule efficiently to cover assigned territory
Utilize sales management software for maximum efficiency
Maintain accurate records and assist with RFP responses
Requirements

Preferred experience in sales within the building materials/construction/manufacturing industry
Knowledge of steel building products
Strong communication skills
Ability to conduct presentations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Working Conditions
Frequent travel required, often involving several hours of driving per day
