Description:

PURPOSE OF THE JOB: This position involves set-up and operation of laser and punch presses in fabrication department as needed to complete orders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Proficient in operating brake presses, shears, punch presses, strippit, and laser machines, including the ability to develop programs necessary for part fabrication.

2. Capable of setting up and operating machines safely, adhering to all relevant safety protocols.

3. Requires knowledge and use of shop mathematics, the ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints and assembly drawings as well as all types of measuring instruments and knowledge of varied fabrication technique.

4. Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and managers.

5. Minimum of three years of work-related experience to attain proficiency in fabrication techniques.

6. Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and ingenuity in planning, layout, and executing tasks, with sound judgment in determining the sequence of operations.

7. Ability to train and mentor others in machine operation and fabrication techniques.

8. Forklift driving experience with a commitment to safety protocols.

9. Proficiency in computer operations for machine programming and basic administrative tasks.

10. Must be able to pass basic skills test.Requirements:
