The Associate Director, Marketing Analytics will lead strategic comprehensive digital measurement and marketing analytics across the Crate & Barrel and Crate & Kids brands and marketing channels. They will be responsible for leading digital measurement, analysis and actionable insights that enable marketing partners to make data led decisions that will optimize digital and owned channel marketing performance to drive revenue across the organization’s various sales channels.

This is a hybrid position based out of our Northbrook, IL offices and typically works in the office on 3 days each week. And open to fully remote for the right candidate due to the travel expectations

A day in the life as an Associate Director, Marketing Analytics…

Work cross functionally across paid search, paid social, programmatic, display and online video, conducting deep-dive analyses and assessing performance for these programs, taking customers’ multichannel experience into consideration

Lead Media Mix Modeling (MMM) agency partner and spearhead ongoing refinement as well as establish best practices in data taxonomy to capture pertinent data and drive proactive optimization strategies for enhanced performance results

Combine digital analytics with broader marketing analytics across owned & earned channel performance for comprehensive and action oriented marketing business insights

Implement and improve reporting and analysis processes such as dashboarding using state-of-the-art tools and automation whenever possible

Develop and maintain analyses and models that enable the brands to market or operate more efficiently

Partner with Customer Data Management team to effectively land all current and any new digital data points in Customer Data Warehouse to enable efficient and effective analysis

Partner with Customer Analytics team to improve overall digital analytics IQ of the the broader organization

Partner with eCommerce Analytics team on tracking, measurement and insights for Marketing channels

Lead projects that increase the brand’s technical capabilities, improve data structures and data integrity and promote new strategic efforts

Partner with Personalization team to identify potential trigger points in the digital data for additional customer personalization

What you’ll bring to the table…

Exceptional analytical skills with a proven track record of extracting actionable insights from complex data sets

Exceptional leadership skills to build bridges and lead cross-functional teams to deliver insights

Digital measurement expert across Paid Search, Social, Display and other digital channels

Proactive self-starter who finds opportunities and is excited to advance marketing measurement for the organization

Excellent communication skills and able to storytell data

Extensive expertise in developing automated tools and reporting mechanisms and streamlining processes to enhance efficiency and provide real time data and insights

Demonstrated ability to learn new platforms and technology quickly

We’d love to hear from you if you have…

8 years experience in data analysis, data analytics or related field with a proven track record of providing actionable data insights to inform data-informed decision making

Bachelor degree in Marketing, Advertising, Economics, Finance/Analytics focus or equivalent work experience

Omnichannel retail experience preferred

Advanced proficiency in Excel

Proficiency in Web Analytics tools (Omniture, Google Analytics), SQL, Access or related knowledge in their underlying processes preferred

Familiarity with programming languages such as Javascript, Python etc. a strong plus
