Overview:

My client's Global Sourcing and Procurement (GSP) organization is instrumental in driving value through procurement to support strategic objectives. Leveraging market intelligence and business insights, GSP plays a vital role in the procurement of goods and services, contributing to the delivery of innovative medicines to patients worldwide. The Global Procurement Managed Services Leader will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the procurement managed service partner, aligning operations with strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary contact for the performance of the managed service provider.

Collaborate with senior leadership to align operational strategies with GSP objectives.

Develop strategies for a world-class procurement managed services function.

Establish standardized policies and processes for critical capabilities.

Create procurement dashboards/reports to measure provider performance.

Implement governance structures and manage continuous improvement initiatives.

Drive procurement and end-user compliance.

Develop comprehensive data and reporting capabilities.

Establish annual goals and targets for the service provider.

Represent Procurement Managed Services across the company.

Provide expertise on evolving procurement practices and standards.

Foster a customer-centric mindset and enable capabilities to support it.

Partner with the GSP organization as a strong leader.

Skills Required:

Experience in business transformation and procurement.

Deep knowledge of procurement processes and regulations in the pharmaceutical industry.

Extensive global procurement and supply chain management experience.

Vendor management and contract negotiation skills.

Results-driven mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to develop and maintain relationships across the organization.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related field required.

MBA or post-graduate qualifications advantageous.

10+ years of operational procurement experience.

Demonstrated experience leading Managed Services organizations.

Proficiency in procurement tools such as Ariba and SAP preferred.

Strong understanding of category strategy development, stakeholder management, and supplier relationship management.

Experience working in a matrix business environment.

Strong networking and relationship-building skills.

Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.

Periodic travel to supplier locations required.
