Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Generalist to join the team of our client in a manufacturing environment. The HR Generalist will oversee a small team and play a crucial role in managing employee relations, talent management, and leadership development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in human resources within a manufacturing setting and possess excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Relations:

Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to employees and managers.

Investigate and resolve employee complaints and conflicts, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and procedures.

Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution strategies.

Talent Management:

Oversee the recruitment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.

Develop and implement talent management strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent within the organization.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to employees to support their professional growth.

Leadership Development:

Identify leadership development needs and design programs to enhance leadership skills across the organization.

Provide guidance and support to managers and supervisors on leadership best practices and employee management techniques.

Facilitate training sessions and workshops to promote leadership development and continuous improvement.

HR Administration:

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.

Oversee benefits administration, including enrollment, claims resolution, and communication of benefit plans to employees.

Team Management:

Supervise and mentor a small team of HR professionals, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively, ensuring that team members have the resources and support they need to succeed.

Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, address challenges, and celebrate successes.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on employee relations, talent management, and leadership development.

Experience working in a manufacturing environment is required.

Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.

Proven leadership and team management abilities.

Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.

Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
