This is a full-time role for an Office Manager at Bryan Schwartz Law, P.C. The Office Manager manages financial and timekeeping records related to the small law firm, maintains office operations and procedures, and assigns and monitors the clerical functions of the support team. Previous law firm experience is not a requirement for this position; it is highly preferred, however, to be interested in social justice and civil rights work. While work is done primarily in the office, some remote work is acceptable. Other job duties include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities:
Handling accounts payable and receivable.
Managing the firm’s trust account with the firm’s bookkeeper and Firm Principal.
Filing the firm’s 1099 tax returns.
Executing payroll timely.
Monitoring payroll compliance with state/federal regulations.
Chairing weekly firm meetings discussing all cases, potential clients, and firm priorities.
Planning in-house or off-site events.
Analyzing reports and identifying opportunities for growth/areas of improvement.
Collaborating with the Firm Principal to establish policies and procedures.
Directing the hiring of support team members and organizing all firm hiring processes.
General receptionist duties.
Providing occasional personal assistance to the Firm Principal.
Qualifications
Four-year college degree
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications
Experience in the legal industry is a plus
Bilingual not required but a plus
We offer competitive pay commensurate with experience: $30 - $50 per hour.
