MEDICAL ASSISTANT JOB DESCRIPTION

Pride Health is hiring a MEDICAL ASSISTANT to join our client’s healthcare team all over Ridgefield, CT This is a Contract Position with our client’s reputable healthcare organization.

JOB SUMMARY:

all duties within the scope of a Medical Assistant’s practice.

diagnostic equipment (cannot interpret tests), remove staples from superficial wounds, changes wound dressing and obtains cultures, administers non-intravenous medication, performs simple specimen collection via noninvasive techniques and collects blood specimens via venipuncture or via capillary, performs EKGs.

Performs quality control checks on equipment.

and sterilizes medical equipment using the autoclave.

patients according to policy and procedures, prepare patients for examination.

patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner

patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies.

patient confidentiality always and treats patients with courtesy and respect.

exam and treatment rooms, stocks, and cleans rooms and sterilizes instruments.

standard infection control precautions

and in-person screening limited to intake and gathering of information without requiring the exercise of judgment based on clinical knowledge.

and follows Standard Delegation of Orders (SDO)

all other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

school graduate or GED equivalent.

recognized Medical Assistant certification.

Location: EULESS TX

Schedule: Monday-Friday: 8:00 to 5:00PM

range: 17$ to 21$

*Pay rate offered is based on years of experience, education, licensing, and other credentials.
