JOB SUMMARY

Our client is a leader in forestry, environmental products, and land management. Join their corporate Human Resources team to serve their US employee base. This client is the perfect size to be big enough for complex benefit structures but small enough to get to know your employee base to be able to service them with robust packages and personalized support. You will be an important collaborative member of the HR team able to have meaningful conversations from the hourly employee to the C-Suite with the same personalized empathy and professional care for their situations and questions.

WHAT YOU BRING

You have around 5 years of Benefits Administration and Analyst experience working for a COMPANY not a benefits broker. You have in-depth knowledge around the HSA's, Health Insurance, Managing Open Enrollment, Working with multi-state employee populations, and 401K administration. You know the qualifying events off the top of your head. You work well within a team to support your part of the employee experience as well as on and off boarding consultations on benefits. You love helping your employee base have a better overall well-being and glady spearhead new projects and annual health fairs.

SUCCESS FACTORS

Oversee and Devise Benefits Strategy: Partner with the HR team to devise, develop, and implement new benefits programs or modify existing plans to enhance our offerings.

Create a Seamless Administration of Benefits: Take ownership of the day-to-day administration of our benefits plans, ensuring compliance with regulations and our plan documents.

Be A Trusted Employee Advisor: Provide a positive employee experience by responding promptly to benefits inquiries, proactively gathering employee feedback, and using insights to improve benefit offering.

Provide SME Systems Guidance: Work closely with HRIS to optimize systems, ensure user-friendly benefits self-service options, implement analytics and dashboards to provide strategic insights and maintain accurate vendor interfaces. (Ultipro or Workday or other HRIS systems experience

Build and Grow Partnerships vs Vendors: Build and maintain strong relationships with benefit vendors and consultants, driving optimal service quality and cost control.

Compliance Sage and Advocate: Stay up-to-date on regulatory changes (ERISA, ACA, etc.) and ensure our plans remain compliant.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

BA/BS in related field and/or 3-5 years of benefits analyst and administrative experience (not FMLA or Leave but benefits)

Able to clearly articulate your knowledge of Health, Welfare, Wellness, and Savings (401K) programs and their regulations and with ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ACA.

Master at both problem solving for employees (be able to discuss examples of past situations) - Love to dig into data analysis with MS Excel

Teacher Complex: Able to provide information in a vibrant learning matter with employees so they understand and can leverage benefits for their overall well being - health and financial wellness. As well as superior communication protocols with vendors and senior stakeholders on benefit analysis and costs.

Preference for Certifications : SHRM PHR, Benefits, or CEBS Certifications

Able to Travel to other US office locations especially in September / October for Health Fairs and Open Enrollment .
