System Engineer

**We're Hiring: Systems Architect

We're seeking a skilled Systems Architect who thrives in developing high-impact solutions, emphasizing reusability and the smart integration of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products. You'll need a robust understanding of systems, architectures, technologies, frameworks, industry standards, and protocols. Engaging with business stakeholders, project managers, and technical teams is key in defining system requirements, constraints, goals, and innovative solutions.

What You'll Do:

Design and Architect: Analyze requirements using established engineering methodologies to design cost-effective and sustainable technical solutions, focusing on leveraging existing technologies and frameworks.

Document and Define: Produce comprehensive specifications, design documents, and architecture diagrams that clearly outline system components, interfaces, and behaviors.

Lead and Influence: Drive technical discussions, present proposals, and deliver recommendations to senior management and various stakeholders.

Guide and Mentor: Offer guidance and technical leadership during implementation to ensure adherence to architectural guidelines and best practices. Manage and mentor junior architects and technical staff.

Collaborate and Secure: Work alongside cybersecurity personnel to ensure systems and applications comply with established security standards.

Innovate and Improve: Conduct research on emerging technologies and trends to integrate into future solution designs. Review existing systems for modernization opportunities.

Support and Assist: Act as a valuable project team member, ready to provide software programming assistance, hardware selection, or integration solutions.

What You'll Need:

Education: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, or Information Technology.

Experience: At least 10 years (15 preferred) in application hardware/software development and delivery.

Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, and C#, with a solid grasp of engineering design patterns and hardware/software interfaces.

Certifications: Must possess an active Secret clearance or be eligible to obtain one. Candidate must also have or be able to obtain a US passport.

Preferred:

Experience with Atlassian Tool Set (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket).

Advanced proficiency in programming languages including Java.

Skilled in Microsoft Visio.
