What You Will Be Doing:

Join a dynamic engineering team developing the next generation of In-Flight Entertainment systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

Developing new power supply solutions to provide on-board power and in-flight entertainment hardware including AC/DC Power supplies and high-voltage DC/DC converters (LLC and flyback).

As part of this job, you will be responsible for the design, testing, and documentation.

Other focus areas:

Power control for USB Type C and Power Delivery 2.0.

PFC, LLC, and Inverter designs.

DSP or FPGA-base design, especially for power converter control.

Hardware development and planning including layout, analysis, evaluation, prototype build, and test.

Strong emphasis on:

Performing qualitative and quantitative tests to determine properties, characteristics, and the performance of materials, circuits, mechanisms, assemblies, and systems.

Design and development of electronic circuits and board assemblies. Analysis of test data.

Select hardware and material assuring compliance with specifications and product requirements.

Verify embedded firmware and higher-level software functionality of the product.

Ability to apply problem-solving methods to assure compliance with all product requirements.

What You Will Bring to the Table:

Ability to develop requirements from specifications, oral instructions, or preliminary sketches.

Ability to analyze and design circuits; implement test methods and procedures.

Proven ability to prepare technical reports and documentation.

Ability to resolve a wide range of design challenges.

Education and Experience:

BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (MS in Electrical Engineering preferred).

Three to six years of experience in areas such as higher mathematics, electronics, and circuit design.

Hands-on experience with analog simulators.

Two or more years of experience with at least two of the following: o Design of AC/DC Power supplies.

Power Factor Correction

High-voltage DC/DC converters (LLC and flyback).

Power control for USB Type C and Power Delivery 2.0.

DSP or FPGA-based design, especially for power converter control.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to travel to Japan and other domestic and international locations as required approximately 5% of the time.
