We are looking for a highly motivated IC Design and Verification Engineer to contribute to Diversity Receive (DRX) designs. This person will need experience with Switch design – semi related. You will work with other analog/RF IC and module designers for simulation and making measurement of IC. RF switch design and verification using Cadence tool. Someone with heavy switch design experience should be able to explain their involvement working on something like SP2T, SP3T, SP6T, DPDT etc and have used SOI process before as a technology. We are looking for someone who DESIGNED, not just implemented.

Responsibilities:

RF switch design and verification using Cadence tool

On-chip coupler design and verification using EMX and Cadence.

Generate RF top verification bench using Cadence.

Measure performance in the lab using spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, signal generator.

Experience in lab measurement automation and evaluation board design will be useful.

Job Requirements:

BSEE and 8 years of work experience required, MSEE preferred, PHD preferred.

Knowledge and experience with RF related layout especially for High Power Switches and couplers.

Heavy experience with switch design, experience with layout design, elastic constraints and linearity.

Previous experience with one or more of these switches - SP2T, SP3T, SP6T

Experience with SOI (Silicon on insulator) (SOI) -semiconductor wafer technology.

Familiar with using Cadence virtuoso with experience in schematic editing.

Must have experience and knowhow of using Spectre, APS, AFS, EMX (and or HFSS). 1 year – emx priority

Familiar with Hierarchy Editor.

Knowledge to deal with convergence issues.

Knowledge of ADEXL.

Experience with Smith chart, load and source pulling, RF matching, transmission lines in both simulation and lab environment.

Familiar with Virtuoso layout editor.

Familiar with the different analysis types including but not limited to S Parameter, Harmonic Balance, Transient, AC, DC.

Familiar with lab equipment such as Spectrum analyzer, Network analyzer, Signal generator, Oscilloscopes, DC power supply, etc.

Familiarity with taking lab measurements like Gain, Noise Figure, Harmonics, IP3, etc.

Ability to sort through data and present data in a concise manner.
