Online Trust and Safety Analyst

Job Description:

In this role, you’ll be an excellent operator and will collaborate with teams both within and outside of Trust and Safety. The right candidate is expected to bring in a passion for abuse fighting, a focus on putting the user first and deliver excellent business results.

You will partner with the Engineering, Product, Legal, Policy and Scaled Operations team to drive operational performance and lower abuse rates.

Responsibilities:

Perform data analysis to derive insights from our data stores and/or incoming escalations, identify abuse patterns, and/or product vulnerabilities through deep root cause analysis.

Manage escalations and conduct comprehensive investigations to catch fraudsters, effectively enforce our product policies, and drive abuse mitigation strategies.

Enhance our operational workflows via process improvements and automation opportunities.

Improve tools and review systems through data analysis and technical expertise.

Collaborate with cross-functional groups such as Engineering, Product, and Policy to update policies and training, fix enforcement gaps, and provide a safe online experience for our users.

This role works with sensitive content or situations and may be exposed to graphic, controversial, and/or upsetting topics or content.

Top 3 Responsibilities

Main areas of work for the temp will include.

Escalation management in Client Ads Misrepresentation vertical.

Deep investigations including root cause and data analysis to combat scams and misinformation.

Drive workflow, process, and training improvements.

Mandatory:

3+ years’ experience in data analysis

Fluency in SQL and experience querying medium sized data sets.

Analytical and logical thinker with strong problem solving skills.

Ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally and cross regionally with stakeholders.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Desired:

Experience in C++, HTML, and CSS is advantageous but not required.

Education:

BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
