Senior UI Software Engineer

firstPRO is hiring a Senior UI Software Engineer for our client located in Wilmington, DE. This individual will play a critical role in the development team, working closely with the UI/UX team to maintain and expand new codebases. This individual will also be an integral member of the Scrum team, contributing to the creation of innovative and user-friendly web applications. This is a direct hire opportunity and has a hybrid work model which requires 3 days onsite weekly.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the UI/UX team to maintain and build out the new codebase.

Actively contribute to the Scrum team.

Stay updated on the latest web technologies, code languages, and frameworks.

Convert digital assets from the UX designer into functional code for modern web browsers.

Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.

Write well-designed, testable, and security-focused code.

Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.

Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests.

Requirements

5+ years of experience creating interactive, modern user interfaces.

Strong knowledge of application architecture and design patterns.

Expertise in professional software engineering and best practices throughout the software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

Proficiency in at least one JavaScript framework such as React or AngularJS.

Knowledge of REST web services.

Experience with AWS Cloud services (EC2, ECS, CloudWatch, CodePipeline).

Server-side programming skills (Java, Python).

Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and coding standards.

Familiarity with additional JavaScript frameworks (ExpressJS, NodeJS).

Experience in writing stable, scalable, and secure applications.
