TEXEL-Seikow USA is a global manufacturer of corrosion resistant fiberglass blowers, centrifugal mag drive pumps, and environmental equipment. Our HQ is near Osaka, Japan, we are seeking an account manager for our Houston, TX location!

The Account Manager is responsible for delivering an outstanding customer experience through the processing and support of order management and quotation activities. The Account Manager supports an outside sales force as well as internal departments, working collaboratively to deliver customer value. Additionally, the AM evaluates and participates in improving internal processes to reduce waste, improve speed, and enhance customer outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

A minimum of four years’ experience in customer service or a sales role, preferably supporting the sale of manufactured goods.

Bachelor's Degree required. Engineering background a plus.

Strong technical sales and customer service skills.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, project specifications, and technical drawings.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

Demonstrated customer service aptitude with proven ability to build strong customer relationships.

Prior experience with rotating equipment is a plus.

Success in this role will entail high attention to detail and making sure that customers and sales teams feel fully supported.

Familiar with Microsoft Office, strong overall PC skills.

Knowledge of web design, SEO, PPC, online marketing a plus.

What You’ll Do

Serve as front-line contact for assigned accounts, taking ownership for the customer experience; contribute to management of team-supported accounts and transaction load sharing to ensure department efficiency.

Maintain regular and strong communication with your team, support them and participate in any needed activities to help drive business and achieve sales targets for our key accounts.

Directly contribute to sales through both pro-actively developing opportunities as well as following-up outstanding opportunities and optimizing our closing ratios.

Maintain a high level of company and product knowledge which will help you understand your customer needs and requirements.

Maintain a high level of customer service by building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and by timely and regularly communicating with your customers on issues such as lead times, transport, quality issues, etc.

Prepares, generates, and follows up on quotations to secure orders, or determine reason for loss of order.

Owns, qualifies, and develops opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.

Prepare monthly reports and analyze data trends.

Manage customer complaints and returns as required and ensure customer follow-ups from supporting departments are timely and complete.

Develop and deliver customer quotations with support from the engineering department when required. Review historical prices and costs; apply pricing methodologies to create winning bids.

Demonstrate initiative in reviewing departmental and cross-departmental processes; drive development of solutions to reduce waste and improve speed.

Record and analyze internal obstacles and problem areas; participate in applying continuous improvement tools to address such areas.

Occasional travel may be required for trade shows or industry events.
