SAP Scrum Master

We are looking for a Sr. Scrum Master that has SAP experience to help us with two SAP Product teams.

We are in need of a proactive - strong SM that can work with teams that are newly formed to help them mature. Will need to be a mentor and possibly counselor/coach to help this move forward.

Comfortable with candor in message delivery conversation(s) with respect and clarity as well.

This is 100% remote supporting EST time zone.

SAFe Certification is required.

Job Description: Role is for an experienced Agile/SAFe Sr. Scrum Master with some traditional Project Management (former BA exp helpful).

SAP Scrum Master/Team Coach

About:

The Scrum Master / Team Coach will facilitate and provide coaching to two SAP focused product teams. The SM must have the ability to influence people, identify opportunities to develop and to balance the practical vs the perfect. The role will split time equally between two initiatives: supporting a Jira Leadership Dashboard and a new SAP FICO product team. The teams are both focused on SAP Business Operations / FICO so having SAP P2P, O2C is needed.

The first team is a relatively newly product team that has been repurposed from a platform centric (waterfall) team to a new product team that uses SAFe, Agile and Scrum frameworks and philosophies.

This will require experience working with Jira dashboard capabilities and have customer facing experience working with senior leadership (RTE, Director, Executive Director, VP levels) on a weekly basis.

The second team will be working with a new SAP FICO product team and requires experience in forming and working with new teams, supporting maturity efforts, and will partner with the client’s SAFe/Agile RTE and Training Lead.

Candidate needs to be able to understand where the client is with their journey and adoption of SAFE, Agile, Scrum and product teams...to be able to understand and proceed with the client’s strategy, work with client’s SAFe, Agile Center of Excellence (CoE), discern the maturity of the product teams and then appropriately formulate, communicate, gain census from client and do what is next to improve the maturity curve of the teams themselves.

Responsibilities include team level coaching, mentoring, and helping teams deliver as they move to SAFe, facilitated and completed Program Incremental (PI) Planning events and have worked with various Stakeholders and Product Owners from the business side. Requires a Servant leader mindset – willing to share best practices for the common good of the team and a solid hands-on experience executing, facilitating all ceremonies. Provide reports, velocity and other metrics and introducing techniques that will increase productivity and is measurable.

Skillset:

Preferred candidates will have worked with a very broad set of stakeholders

Have experience standing up multiple product teams that have differing levels of experience and that may have been repurposed for other initiatives.

Be able to provide a consistent ceremony, to share ‘how things are going’, ‘where things are ‘not going’.

Need to roll up neatly when working with Sr. Management and be a great remote facilitator.

For Soft Skills: Asynchronous player, strong communicator, active Listener, team player and confident and a builder of self-confidence with the team.

SAP Required

Additionally, this role requires experience with JIRA dashboards, Smartsheet’s and other project dashboards and artifacts. Align with client’s strategies, provide dashboards and reports on a weekly basis. Configures and manages client instance of Jira. Optimize workflows, establish specific procedures for users. Partners with security team with necessary patches to maintain a secure instance against security vulnerabilities.

Certifications:

Requires Agile/ SAFe experience and CSM certification. Major plus holding other SAFe, Agile certifications.
